This bright and cozy baby blanket is knit entirely in garter stitch, but the short rows and the color changes will keep you knitting along merrily. You will work with only one color at a time, so no row is longer than the radius of the blanket. You will carry the white at the center to cinch up like the top of a hat at the very end. Knit in 8 colors with a crisp white contrast edging and a one-side-at-a-time border technique.

You will need nine colors of a worsted weight yarn. The sample uses 1 skein each of Knit Picks Brava Worsted (100% acrylic, 218 yards/100 grams), in White, Dove Heather, Sky, Celestial, Tranquil, Cobblestone Heather, Marina, Clarity and Grass.
