Gauge is not extremely important, although included.
I used 1 skein of the Bernat pound of love: White and about 5 skeins (with some left over) of the Bernat Softee: Lemon, although you could use practically any yarn you wanted or had on hand.
Safety pins are extremely helpful for this pattern. (You don’t need that many, only 4 at one time are used).
