This pattern is sold in the Pinwheel Hat Pattern Ebook with my ’Top Down Pinwheel Beanie’ pattern and the 10ply (worsted) version of this pattern.

This hat is knit in the round from the top down. It was designed to co-ordinate with the Pinwheel Sweater for children’.

I have used rainbow gradual gradient dyed merino for my daughters’ hat to give a rainbow effect with a gradual change between the colours. A similar rainbow effect could be made using a small amount of different colours in the same yarn ie red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
