Amherst is a fantastic choice for a classic cabled garment such as Valley Yarns Pinyon. This women’s sweater features modern details such as generous positive ease and split side hems, and a dramatic allover cable pattern on the body’s front and back. The long bell sleeves are ribbed, echoing the style of the warm turtleneck. The sweater is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed. The turtleneck stitches are picked up along the neck edge and worked in the round. Instructions for the cable pattern are both charted and written out.
