Pinz-socks have a simple yet effective knit/purl pattern which is suitable for both women and men.

The pattern has both written and charted instructions for toe up and cuff down construction and comes in stitch sizes 56, 64 and 72 sts.

The pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be modified for double pointed needles. Needle A refers to instep stitches and needle B to sole stitches.

Yarn

100 g of fingering weight yarn, app. 420 m (440 yds)/ 100g. The sample socks were knitted with Regia Silk 4-fädig, 199 m/ 218yds per 50g.

Needles & notions

2.75 mm/ US 2 circular needle(80 cm/ 32 inches long or longer) or to meet the gauge
tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

36 sts x 48 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking.

Disregard the cable and p sts on the toe up heel turn.
