Pion Sweater
I´ve made the Pion Cardigan some time ago and I wanted a Sweater in the same style so I designed Pion Sweater.
Pion is the swedish word for peony. The peony is a medical plant that has been used to everything from child birth to chasing away evil spirits. Today it´s the roots that is used for different kind of ailments.
People used to belive that the peony had magical powers. Many cultivaded it in their garden to protect them from “the evil eye”. You were supposed to dig up the roots by night becaus if the woodpecker saw you it would pick your eyes out.

Suggested needles: 3mm (US2,5) circular needle 40, 60, 75 cm for stockinette, 3,5 mm (US4) for color work and 2,75 mm (US2) for rib.
Gauge: 26sts x 34 rnd = 10x10cm / 4x4”. Measured over stockinette stitches in the round after blockning.
Notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, scissors, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
~ This sweater is worked from the top down, which means you can try it on as you go.
~ To choose the right size for your body, measure around your full bust, then add the recomended ease 0-5 cm / 0-2” and pick the size closest to that number. The bust circumference in the sizes is the finished sweater measurements.
~ You can midify your sweater to have any length of the body and sleeves to fit you. Do take into account that modifications will affect the yarnage required.
