Piona is a reversible lace shawl that looks decorative on both sides.
The shawl is quite easy to knit once you master the two four-stitch decreases, the pattern is repetitive and enjoyable.

Size – depends on the number or repeats of the pattern and the yarn you use.

Yarn – any yarn weight you choose, my shawls are done in fingering as I wanted to get light versions for warmer season, but you can use heavier weight to get a warm winter wrap.
For the ombre shawl I used 656yards / 600m from Kokonki on US 2 ½ / 3.0mm, done 15 repeats of the pattern and the shawl measures 63x25” / 160x63cm.
The yellow shawl is done in Torra from Liloppi on US 2 ½ / 3.0mm needles, 17 repeats of the pattern and it measures 77x31” / 195x79cm

Needles - any size according to the yarn you use.

Gauge – it is not crucial and depends on the yarn and needles you choose to knit with.

The pattern is done on both RS and WS, lace elements are always done on RS while WS is a combination of knit and purl stitches.

Piona to dwustronna chusta, która wygląda równie dobrze wydziergana z włóczki ombre jak i z jednolitej.
Chustę dzierga się łatwo, na początku trzeba tylko opanować dwa sposoby przerabiania 4 oczek razem i potem dzierganie staje się przyjemnie intuicyjne, nie będąc przy tym nudne.

Rozmiar zależy od ilości powtórzeń wzoru oraz od grubości włóczki, z której zdecydujesz się dziergać.

Włóczka – dowolnej grubości, a jako że jest to chusta, którą trzeba zblokować – wybierz naturalne włókna, maksymalnie 50% akrylu.
Gradientowa chusta powstała z Kokonka 600m / 3 nitki na drutach 3mm, 15 powtórzeń wzoru, po zblokowaniu wymiary wynoszą 160x63cm.
Żółta chusta jest zrobiona z półtora motka Torry od Liloppi, druty 3mm, 17 powtórzeń wzoru, wymiary chusty 195x79cm.

Druty – dobrane do włóczki, chustę należy dziergać dość luźno.

Części ażurowe wzoru są robione zawsze na prawej stronie robótki, lewa strona natomiast to kombinacja oczek prawych i lewych.
