Knit flat with garter and stockinette stitches, this is a reversible heart motif centered in a 6” square for worsted to aran weight yarns. It is shown knit on size #8 needles with Peace Fleece Worsted yarn.

Denoting friendship, comfort and love, it will make an excellent block component for an adventurous beginner knitter to contribute to a group project. This block was inspired by a dear friend for whom my knit group made a comforting blanket in several colors.

Peace Fleece is an ideal yarn for this project and one skein will make 5, possibly 6 squares, depending on your knitting tension. Peace Fleece has a rustic look and feel and when washed becomes beautifully soft.

The pattern includes yarn requirements for different sizes of afghans and blankets.
