These children’s mittens are quick-to-knit due to the thick, homespun, 2-ply yarn (spun at 10 WPI).Each mitten will be unique. This gauge is perfect to keep the mittens from being cumbersome and too thick for comfort. These are so cozy and comfortable (as Jack says), your child will search for them for outdoor play.

They are made as I imagine the pioneers made them. I spun enough to keep ahead of my knitting. (As newly spun fiber dried, I knit then spun more.) I made 4 pairs in a short span of time.
