Pipa Beanie
Pipa is a simple beanie knit with sport weight non-superwash wool and silk-mohair lace yarn held together to achieve a warm, soft and squishy texture. The rim has double construction with stockinette stitch on the inside and a sort of rick-rack-ish ribbing for extra interest on the outside. The rick-rack texture continues all the way up to the top. Use similar colors, if you want to keep the design classic and chic, or use wild, contrasting colors for added sass. Adorn with a pompom for fun. Or don’t. It’s up to you!
Pipa is a Finnish slang word for “pipo”; a knitted hat, a beanie.
Size:
One size, fits most. I highly recommend to knit a swatch to obtain the right gauge. If you want to make changes or adjust the size, please do your math carefully. If you wish to make the hat smaller or bigger, you can, but make sure that you can divide the number of your stitches by nine to be able to follow the pattern repeats at the decreases.

70 grams of sport weight, non-superwash wool yarn
20 grams of lace weight kid mohair and silk blend
You can use similar or contrasting colors, depending on the effect you want to achieve.
