This pattern (written tutorial with photos) includes a PDF allowing you to crochet Pippa the axolotl and also includes the pattern for the worm and heart!

Pattern Level: Beginner-Intermediate

Supplies Needed:
For Axolotl (about 11-12 inches tall including gills when finished):
-4mm crochet hook
-Small hook (I use 2.5mm) to attach gill frills
-Worsted weight yarn in your choice of
axolotl body color
-Worsted weight yarn in your choice of gill
and tail detail color
-Black embroidery thread or yarn for mouth
-Two black 12mm safety eyes with backs
-fiberfil to stuff
-Sewing needle to sew body parts together
and weave in ends
-Scissors
-Blush (Optional)

For Worm (about 6 inches long when finished):
-3.5mm crochet hook
-Tan worsted weight yarn for body
-Gray worsted weight yarn for neck ring
-Two black 4 or 6mm safety eyes with backs
-1/2 of a pipe cleaner
-Sewing needle to sew ring onto neck and
weave in ends
-Scissors
-Blush (Optional)

For Heart (about 3.5 inches tall when finished):
-3.75mm crochet hook for heart
-Worsted weight yarn in your choice of heart
color
-Fiberfil to stuff
-Sewing needle to weave in ends
-Scissors

Abbreviations:
st/sts – stitch/stitches
fo- finish off
mc – magic circle
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
Sc2tog – single crochet two together
(decrease)
