You should know the basic stiches: chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet. All the other sticthes used in the pattern are explained.
This pattern is written in standard American terms and includes lot of photos of the process.
Pattern includes instructions for 3 different sizes: XS/S, M/L and XL/XXL.
In the pattern, I have worked all stripes with mustard yellow and brown (as in 2nd picture above), but if you prefer to work each the stripes with different colors as in the other pictures, you only need 50g ball of each color (here 3 different colors). The stripes can be worked also with leftover yarn.
The length is adjustable.
Materials>
- Yarn weight> DK/light worsted weight yarn. The Cardigan in the pictures are made with Silke Peo 30 (100% merino). Other yarn suggestion for example Painbox Yarns Simply DK, King Cole Pricewice DK, Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, Willow & Lark Ramble, Novita 7 veljesta. In the pattern I worked the stripes with same color. If you prefer to work the stripes with 3 different colors, you only need 50g ball of each color. Main Color 1> 1000(1200,1400) m / 1100(1310,1540) yds, Color 2> 160(200,250) m / 175(220,275) yds Color 3> 80(100,130) m /90(110,142) yds
- Crochet hook: 5mm/H/8 or whatever size to obtain the gauge! Smaller hook for casting if needed (check the gauge).
- Needle to sew the seams.
