Pips is by far the proudest bird, which is a testament to his obsessive fondness for preening. With his showy display of tail feathers and dashing good looks Pips is certainly used to all the limelight.
This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms and step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and 2.0mm hook, the finished Peacock will measure around 25cm/9” tall.
The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.
You’ll need to know how to:
• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• double crochet
• treble crochet
• half double crochet
• increase/decrease
• half double crochet 3 increase
• double crochet 3 increase
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch
You will need the following materials:
Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
1 ball of each colour (you won’t need full balls): Empire 1829, Petrol 1708, Silver 1203, White 1001, Parchment 1218, Charcoal 1128, Jaffa 1114, Apple 1852, Pistachio 1822, Cloud Blue 1019 and Teal 1062.

10mm black safety eyes
