I changed the name so that we could use it for our next IG adventure.

The adventure is all done! I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did. For these socks, I went with the more is more approach. Cables are so fun to knit and with these socks, I dialed up the excitement. I added some stripes and cabled the ribbing too! There is never a dull moment, I hope they’ll pique your interest too. They are knit on a tight gauge to make them warm and durable.

Details: These socks are knit from the toe up and use an afterthought heel. To keep them comfy and easy to wear the foot has a smooth sole and the back of the leg is unique, squishy ribbing. The mirrored cable panel snakes it’s way from the toe to the cuff.

Sizes: Medium (Wide, Extra Wide)
As these socks are knit from the toe up it is very easy to adjust width and length.

Yarn: 1 skein Birch Hollow Fibers Phyllis DK, Color 2: 48 yds, optional Color 3: 15 yds.

Needle: size 3/3.25mm DPNs or 1 long circular

Join me for a different kind of knitalong! It’ll be part KAL, part test knit and all ADVENTURE.

I’m designing a new cabled sock pattern for us all to knit together. The sketch is what we’re going for with the finished sock. It’s knit from the toe up and has lots of cables to keep things interesting. This KAL is best for experienced knitters: I’ll be looking for your notes, we may have to tink back (unlikely) and a general understanding of sock knitting would be a plus.

I’ll be conducting the KAL on Instagram on my account @disturbingthefleece. There is no limit to participants. But knitters who purchase the pattern at this introductory price will receive the completed, formatted, gorgeous full version of the pattern when it is complete. Currently, the pattern consists of only the instructions that have been released up to this point, no photos yet as I am knitting the sample along with you. To participate without a pattern purchase just follow me on IG. Updates to the pattern will be added each time a new ‘instruction’ is released on IG. Sounds exciting, right?!?

Not to worry, if adventure isn’t your thing the finished pattern will still be for sale here at a price of $7.
