The vest is knitted with stranded knitting. It can be knitted with Blackhill Highlandswool or Blackhill Cottonwool. Use a light and a dark color and a diviant color for the edges.

The pattern describes 3 sizes, which correspond to approximately size 2-3 years, 4-5 years and 6-7 years, and are refereed to as size 1 -2 -3 in the pattern.

Numbers for the different sizes are mentioned in that order.
The vest is knitted on circular needles size 2,5 and 3 mm.
You may use double pointed needles 2,5 mm for the ribs of the neck- and armholes
