Pirate Puppy Sweater
There’s something about small dogs that makes me want to see them in cute doggy sweaters! If I see a French Bulldog or Boston Terrier in a rainy Pacific Northwest winter, I want to make sure they are cozy (and if being cozy means they are wrapped up in a cute hand-knit sweater, so much the better!). This sweater has duel meanings-- it’s perfect for either a pirate puppy, or a “lil’ stinker”!
This dog sweater fits small dogs approximately 15-20 lbs. To make the sweater fit a larger or smaller dog, adjust the needle size, moving up or down as needed.
Like many of my other cat-related knit projects, this sweater is an easy knit for several reasons: first, it relies on changing needle size to size up or down the project. Consequently, the project maintains the same knit pattern and number of stitches regardless of sweater size, only relying on switching up your needle size or yarn thickness to size up or down.
The gray motif yarn is not carried around the body of the work—the motif is narrow enough that it hangs tight from the end of one row to the beginning of the next.
