Pismo Scarf
There is a rustic quality to the Woven Stitch, not unlike a paved but well-worn passageway in an old-world village. I wanted to take the idea of a rustic roadway a little further, so I combined the fairly dense Woven Stitch with an easy lace stitch that when blocked, opens up to form rounded rectangular “cobblestone” shapes. Combining the two types of stitches in one garment showcases the versatile nature of linen, which can be used to create a fabric that’s solid, airy, or both at the same time.
