My last collection for 2017, December Knits, offers three shawls designed especially for sitting by the fireplace and savoring your knitting time ~ Piste, Suede, and Black Frost. All three patterns have charts as well as full written instructions. Take time to enjoy just knitting quietly, and have a safe and happy new year!

Piste ~ a ski trail or course
This traditional top-down shawl is a fun knit! The lace pattern reflects lots of little curved trails, using yarn overs and centered double decreases ~ a project for just taking your time and relaxing. The lace and the border are worked either from charts or the full written instructions. Suitable for any yarn weight up to aran.

Materials used for sample (weighs 158g):
Cloudborn Highland Sport ~ 4 skeins Ocean
a row counter is very useful for this pattern
