These lace socks are knitted from the toe up, with a circular needle and both socks at the same time. You will either need two skeins of the same yarn, or start the skein from both in and out. Sharing the skein into two is also an option.

If you are unadvanced knitter, you might want to knit one sock with another colour than the other, so that you don’t accidentally knit them together, as they are on the same circular needle. You can knit another pair with the same colours afterwards!

If you want to use pre-striped yarn, it’s better to have two skeins of the same yarn. Otherwise you will have to share the skein into to two, and arrange the stripes of the other half-skein into the same order.
