Pivoine is a top-down boxy pullover knit seamlessly. The textured stich makes the sweater comfy and cozy.
The piece is started in English half rib at the back and increased to the full width of the body along the shoulders.
Once the neckline is finished, the increases are continued by knitting in circular.

Then back and front are knitted separately until armholes, the body is then joined and knitted in circular.
The textured stitch creates a very light relief, it gives rhythm to the knitting while being simple and pleasant to do.
Then the stitches are pick up and knitted in circular in the same textured stitch as for the body.
The finishing touches at the cuffs, neckline and bottom of the body add a touch of femininity to this design.

Yarn : Approx. (1150, 1250, 1380) 1450, 1570, 1710 (1860, 2020, 2190) m of fingering or light fingering weight yarn and approx. (1250, 1350, 1480) 1550, 1680, 1730 (1980, 2150, 2320) m of lace weight yarn.

The sample has been knitted in Arcoiris Yarn, (70% baby alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere, 400m/100g, color « Éphémère» and lace weight yarn (70% mohair, 30% Silk) 420m /50g color « Éphémère».

Gauge : 21 sts x 30 rows en jersey endroit in stockinette stich.
21m x 40 rows in broken ribs stich.

Needles: 4 mm US 6 for the body and sleeves. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
2,75 mm US 2 for ribbing.

Pivoine est un pull boxy confortable aux épaules tombantes, il se tricote du haut vers le bas sans couture.
On commence par tricoter, en demi-côtes anglaises, à plat en aller et retour en réalisant des augmentations autour des lignes d’épaules. Une fois l’encolure terminé, les augmentations se poursuivent en tricotant en circulaire.
Puis dos et devant sont tricotés séparément jusqu’aux emmanchures, le corps est ensuite rejoint et tricoté en circulaire. Le point texturé crée un très léger relief, il rythme le tricot tout en étant simple et agréable à réaliser.
Les mailles des mailles sont ensuite relevées, elles sont droites et se tricotent en circulaire dans le même point texturé que le corps.
Les finitions aux poignet, à l’encolure et au bas du corps apportent une petite touche de féminité à ce design.

Aisance recommandée entre 10 et 35 cm.

Le modèle de présentation est porté avec une aisance de 34 cm.

Laine : Nécessite un mélange de deux fils tenus ensemble.

Le modèle de présentation a été tricoté en Arcoiris Yarn, un fil de 70% baby Alpaga, 20% Soie, 10% Cachemire, 400m/100g, coloris « Éphémère» et un fil de 70% mohair, 30% Soie, 420m /50g.

J’ai choisi de souligner certaines parties en associant à mes laines un fil brillant de la marque Kremke Soul Wool, Stellaris –cream gold. Je l’ai utilisé pour le haut du modèle, sur les rangs du points texturés du corps et des manches ainsi que pour l’ensemble des finitions.

Métrage estimé :

• (1150, 1250, 1380) 1450, 1570, 1710 (1860, 2020, 2190) m pour le fil fingering ou light fingering
• (1250, 1350, 1480) 1550, 1680, 1730 (1980, 2150, 2320) pour le fil le plus fin.

Échantillon :
21 mailles x 30 rangs en jersey endroit pour un carré tricoté de 10 cm par 10 cm après blocage.
21m x 40 rangs en demi côtes anglaises, haut du modèle.

Matériel :
Aiguille circulaire en 4 mm ou de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir le bon échantillon.
Aiguille circulaire en 2,75 mm pour les finitions du bas du corps, des manches et de l’encolure.
