I have used this potholder pattern for over 50 years as a simple house gift for friends ,family ,and acquaintances.
My Mother used to use the term “bread and butter gift”. A simple given from the ❤️.
For this pattern, I have used 2 strands of cotton and an H hook.
It makes a sturdier potholder, that withstands the heat of an oven, or
to hold / carry very hot dishes filled with various foods.
The option here, if one chooses to , use 1 strand of cotton yarn with a G Hook.
One’s color choices are endless.
After making one potholder with your 2 chosen colors… make a second
one using the reverse colors ( as seen in the photo).
You may even have some leftover in your stash that would be perfect for this project‼️
These are pretty, washable, and last a very long time with constant use.
