After stumbling across an fun “Scattered Squares” quilt on Pinterest, I instantly wanted to try and recreate it in crochet.

Each square is a simple, tight (no chains in between clusters) granny square motif joined together using the join-as-you-go method. My small squares are 3 rounds, medium are 6, and the large are 12. You could make this blanket any size you wanted by increasing or decreasing the amount of rounds you do, just as long as the next size up is double the last size or vice versa. This would make a great stash-buster!

-Go here to see the JAYGO method I used.

-Go here for the Spot-On Edging.

-Use my chart (photo #4) for square placement.

-The colors I used were Jade, Black, Charcoal, Light Gray, and White.

All credit and respect given to the original creator of the Scattered Squares Quilt. This pattern is merely inspired by the quilt version. A huge thank you to Lucy at Attic24 for her fabulous tutorials!
