Pixie Petal Skirt
Hello beautiful people! This is my first ever pattern, so I am open to any questions and suggestions for improvements. This skirt is beautiful, hangs lovely & receives so many questions and compliments. You can play around with the colour combinations and as the size is based on individual measurements you can make it for yourself, a child, anybody who wants one. Just get that starting loop right =)
I have very tight tension when I crochet so I wanted to make the pattern instructions as individualistic as possible so you can make it a perfect fit for you.
My gauge for a 4inch square using a 8mm hook was 8 rows and ten stitches. A petal measures 5.5inches long and 4 inches across.
Tools
I used a size 8mm hook (once again I have unusually tight tension so a 6.5-8 hook may be best for you).
DK 100% acrylic wool (I used 3 colours so each section would stand out but please feel free to play around with any colour combinations that take your fancy.) A 100g ball of each colour completes my size skirt; you may need more or less depending on your size.
This skirt is made in four steps.
Step 1 is getting your measurements and skirt loop.
Step 2 is forming the underskirt netting that we build on top of.
Step 3 is forming the petal layers.
Step 4 is forming the belt by reducing stitches to fit your waist.
