Pizca
Pizca is a unique asymmetrical oversized scarf worked from side to side. It combines brioche, lace and textured stitches. You will switch from increases to a straight portion, and end up with a two-color brioche section and decreases. The movement of this piece is both vertical and horizontal around a shallow semi-circle shape, and has a trace of lace, like a stamp inside the brioche stitches, to add a touch of sophistication and interest.
The pattern is broken down in easy-to-follow and color-coded written instructions, chart, and pictures. Notes will help you understand the design choices.
This is a piece sure to keep you warm during cold winter months and wide enough to cover your head as well as your neck.
You may use a DK, or worsted yarn. Gauge is not crucial for this particular design. I had leftover yarn for both colors, enough to make another accessory.
Skill level: intermediate
You can easily tailor this pattern: make it in one color only, or omit the lace panels and make it all brioche and textured.
