Pizol is the mountain where I learned to ski as a child, and today I hike there. It’s 2844 m high, in Sarganserland in the canton of St. Gallen (Switzerland). To the north, you have a wonderful view of two valleys: the Rhine valley and the Seeztal.

Pizol is a little piece of home and gives a warm, cosy feeling.

The triangular shawl is knitted from bottom up. The border is knitted in a lace pattern with small cables. The middle part of the shawl is knitted with two different yarn weights held together.

I used two solid-coloured yarns.

The instructions include advice for making a bigger or smaller shawl.

Yarn recommendation
The Lana Rara yarn is a woolen spun yarn. It will fluff up when washed. If you want to substitute this yarn with a worsted spun yarn, I recommend using a thicker yarn.

Working with two yarns
The border is knitted with one yarn. The garter stitch section is worked with both yarns held together. When you switch from both yarns held together to just yarn A, make sure to drop yarn B to the wrong side.

• 2 balls in Braendt Orange (yarn B, YB)
100 g / 350 m / 382 yards used for the sample

6.5 mm / US #10.5 circular needle (80 cm / 32” in length), or size to obtain gauge

Pizol ist der Berg, an dem ich als Kind Skifahren gelernt habe, und heute wandere ich dort. Er ist ein 2844 m hohes Bergmassiv im Sarganserland im Kanton St. Gallen (Schweiz). Richtung Norden hat man eine wunderbare Aussicht in zwei Täler: das Rheintal und Seeztal.

Pizol ist ein Stückchen Heimat und gibt wohlige Wärme.

Das Dreieckstuch wird von unten nach oben gestrickt. Die Bordüre wird in einem Lochmuster mit kleinen Zöpfen gestrickt. Der Mittelteil des Tuchs wird mit zwei verschiedenen Garnstärken gestrickt.

Ich hab zwei unifarbene Garne verwendet.

ANMERKUNGEN
Grösse
In der Anleitung wird angegeben, wie du dein Tuch grösser oder kleiner stricken kannst.

Garn-Empfehlung
Die Lana Rara Wolle ist ein Streichgarn. Es blüht durchs Waschen auf. Wenn du dieses Garn mit einem Kammgarn ersetzen möchtest, empfehle ich ein dickeres Garn zu verwenden.

Arbeiten mit zwei Garnen
Die Bordüre wird mit einem Garn gestrickt. Der kraus rechts-Teil wird mit beiden Garnen zusammengehalten gearbeitet. Wenn du von beiden Garnen zum Garn A wechselst, lass Garn B zur Rückseite fallen.
