Finished sized I originally planned on wrapping the red background around the canvas, but my tension is a little tight and it stands out on its own. So, my finished size is 10.75” x 8.25”. You are welcome to chain stitches less in the beginning to fit just the front of your canvas or add more chain stitches, so it wraps around the edge of the canvas.

I believe this pattern is very beginner friendly. The hardest part will be getting use to working with two strands of yarn at the same time. I worked with two strands of yarn for everything but the letters.

This pattern will not include lettering. This pattern will show you how to make the background and the Plague Bird Doctor. There are many great patterns for lettering here on Revelry.
