I love knitting geometric patterns. They have a natural rhythm, are easy to memorize, and seem to work up quickly. This handsome plaid hat will appeal to both men and women. Plaid accessories are classic and timeless wardrobe staples that you’ll wear all the time, especially when they’re your favorite colors.

This hat is fairly easy to knit. There are three colors, but you never work more than two colors per round, making it easier to manage. I personally don’t cut the colors I’m not using, I just carry them up the inside of the hat by catching them every 2 or 3 rounds. You’ll have fewer ends to weave in at the end.

I have included three charts, one in grays and red, one in blues and gold, and one in grayscale to use the colors of your choice. I l find it easier to work with charts if they match my color values. Size can be adjusted by:
1. Using different size yarn and needles
And/or
2. Adding or subtracting number of pattern repeats.
