This is a cuff-down sock with a heal flap construction. After a two-by-two rib section, it is knitted in plain stockinet.

The pattern is written for a fingering weight sock yarn on needles 2.5 mm (US 1.5) for a European female size 39 (US 8.5) and a European male size 45 (US 11). You may, however, use the general principles of this pattern for any size foot or yarn.

At the end of the pattern, some tips are given on how to modify the pattern to fit different sizes and shapes of the foot, as well as different yarns.
