From the book: “I remember learning how to braid from my babysitter when I was a little girl. I loved the fact that she had worked with horses and used to braid their tails. As soon as I mastered the technique, every doll I owned with synthetic hair got this style. When I got a little older, I started focusing on my own hair. People were awed by the fact that I could French braid my own hair by the time I was ten, and often asked if they could watch me in the process.
“My fascination with braids inspired this bracelet. By using three different colors, in addition to two different sizes, I was able to enhance the texture of the final product.”
