Circle is worked in rounds from center out, then bound off to create a stable edge. Background begins by picking up stitches around bound off edge and then working each corner back-and-forth in short rows. Background transitions into complete rounds and ends with an I-cord bind off.

Each square requires approx 165 yards total: 65 yards for circle and 100 yards for background.
