US Size 6 / 4 mm circular needle, (or one size smaller than the gauge needle) for the ribbed neckband and hem. You’ll need a suitable length for the neckband: 16” / 40.5 cm and a longer one for the hem; pick a length that is slightly shorter than but as close as possible to the bust size that you’ve chosen. Common lengths include: 32” / 81.25 cm and 40” / 101.5 cm. Additionally, you’ll need double-pointed needles for the sleeves or use a long needle and the Magic Loop Method.

US Size 7 / 4.5 mm; (or size needed to obtain gauge) 24” / 61cm circular needle, or of suitable length for the yoke and body of the sweater. You may want to change to longer needles as the yoke gets wider. Additionally, you’ll need double-pointed needles for the ribbed cuffs or use a long needle and the Magic Loop Method.
