Planted with Pride
These colourful plants make super desk buddies or brighten up window sills, and the great news is they require no watering or feeding! A combination of stockinette, reverse stockinette, garter stitch, and a rib pattern are used for texture. If you want to make these as paper weights or bookends, add a weight (e.g. a bag of dried rice) inside the pot when making up.
Please note, for safety reasons the flower is not suitable for babies or younger children.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the plants are knitted in DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.

Tapestry needle, toy filling, buttons for eyes, embroidery thread, and a bamboo skewer for the stalk.
SIZES
One size only - Cactus is 16cm and flower is 22cm tall.
TECHNIQUES
