Platysma Socks

I wanted mosaic socks for an effect that was enveloping and textured, Platysma Socks have these 2 qualities and much more! Socks are knitted toe up with a double sole and a short row heel (Wrap and Turn style) that I created in collaboration with La Carolaine. Since I used the same texture as my shawl of the same name, I had no choice but to call it that! A quick reminder, the platysma is a superficial muscle at the front of the neck that runs from the jaw to the thorax.

Needles and notions

Circular needles: 2.5 mm/US 1.5 (toes, heel and cuff) and 2.75/US 2 (mosaic)

3 colors of fingering weight yarn (between 45g and 60g for the main color and 25g for the 2 contrasting colors)

• MC (Main Color): La Carolaine – fingering – 80% SW Merino/20% Nylon, 100 g/354 m – Champagne
• CC1 (Contrasting Color 1): La Carolaine – fingering – 80% SW Merino/20% Nylon, 100 g/354 m – Mermaid
• CC2 (Contrasting Color 2): La Carolaine – fingering – 80% SW Merino/20% Nylon, 100 g/354 m – Bois de Rose

Bas Platysma

J’avais envie de bas tout en mosaïque pour un effet à la fois enveloppant et texturé, les bas Platysma détiennent ces 2 qualités et bien plus! Bas qui se tricotent des orteils vers les côtes avec une semelle double et un talon en rang raccourcis de type Wrap and Turn que j’ai créé en collaboration avec les laines de La Carolaine. Étant donné que j’ai repris le même type de texture que mon châle du même nom, je n’avais d’autre choix que de l’appeler ainsi! Petit rappel, le platysma est un muscle superficiel à l’avant du cou qui part de la mâchoire jusqu’au thorax.

Aiguilles circulaires : 2.5 mm/US 1.5 (orteils, talons et côtes) et 2.75/US 2 (mosaïque)
