Play Stripes Recipe
This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino (1971-2004).
While designing “Play Gradation Recipe,” I realized that I could apply the same idea to a cowl. This “Play Stripes Recipe” is designed as a loose fit reversible cowl with lots of drape. It can be knitted with any weight of yarn and in any size you like. Rounds with eyelets are placed regularly, and the three different widths of eyelets are placed irregularly within a round. Picot edges add a little charm to this simple cowl.
As I discovered, knitting during my spring vacation in London, it is a perfect traveling project. A quick and fun knit, I promise. Enjoy your own stripe pattern. The possibilities are endless.

All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to the Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.
Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU to meet Mino.
