Playful Leaves is a very fun pattern to do using Overlay Mosaic Crochet and Tapestry Mosaic Crochet techniques. Of course you can omit the tiny parts of Tapestry making those rows in a single colour.

As the mosaic tapestry parts are very small this is a great pattern for you to try this technique.

You can play with only 3 colours like I did or you can use as many colour you want. So this is also a good pattern to help you reduce your yarn stash and to create very colourful blankies, or any other type of projects you have in mind.

Pattern is available in English (US terms). It has written instructions, charts and pics to guide you. It also has all information about yarn and colours used under Materials (first page). At the beginning of each row you have a mention to the colour used. In my YouTube Channel you can find a mosaic tapestry video.

Materials

In my sample I used Hobbii Daily Stitch Wool Blend and Hobbii Daily Stitch Wool Blend Tweed and a 5 mm / E-4 crochet hook and 5.5 mm / I-9.

Finishing Size

The final size of the blanket is 94 cm x 125 cm (37 in x 49 in), approximately.

Note that your final size will change due to your crochet tension or the yarn you use. You can customize the size of your blanket by adding or decreasing repeats of the pattern, but keep in mind that this will affect the amount of yarn required.
