Playful Plumage Crescent is a crescent shaped shawl knit in one piece from the center-top outward. It is shaped by all the increasing done on the edging. With both charts and written instructions, knitters are able to choose the most comfortable way to follow the pattern. It can easily be customized by changing the number of repeats of charts 2.

Approx. 475 yards of fingering weight yarn

Testers used anywhere from 410 yards to 500 yards total, depending on gauge.

1 US size 5 (3.75 mm), 32-inch circular or length preferred for weight of yarn

Gauge
25 sts/34 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on US size 5 needles

Exact gauge is not important but do note that a looser gauge will result in the use of more yardage
