Advanced Beginner: The name of the shrug is Pleazy for one reason….It is pleasingly easy to make. The stitches used are sc, dc, rsc (or crab), ch, and sl st.

This pattern has been tested for errors by my amazing testers. Not only have they helped check for errors but they also gave excellent feedback which resulted in two different cuff techniques. You can chose Option A: constructing your right cuff separately and then sewing your right cuff onto the shrug. This is a nice option for those variegated yarns and those that want to try to match the colors on the cuffs a little better. Option B: continuous crocheting and no sewing-perfect for those that hate sewing (is everyone raising their hands emphatically saying, “me me!”?).

The first step in this pattern is making a cuff, which you can try on after one or two rounds to see if you are on the right track with your sizing.

This pattern is made to fit sizes x-small (small) (medium) (large). For reference, the photos shown are an x-small sample on a model with shoulders 16” across and biceps that measure 10.5” around. The finished dimensions are:
Beginning of left cuff to ending of right cuff (end to end): 30” (31.25”) (33.75”) (35”).
Cuff circumference: 10” (11.5”) (12.75”) (14”).
Height: 10.5” (12”) (13.5”) (15”).

An experienced crocheter should be able to easily modify the pattern to make a perfect fit as you can try it on as you go, but if you don’t feel comfortable doing so, simply follow the sizing instructions as written.

Yarn used will vary with size chosen approximate yardages are as follows (always err on the side of caution and get more yarn than you think you will need-especially with boutique unforgettable):
X-small: 250 yards
small: 280 yards
medium: 300 yards
large: 320 yards
