Plekie is a drop shoulder top down sweater with a big cozy turtleneck and cute braids along the shoulders and sleeves. There’s short row shaping at the shoulders to raise the back of the garment, and also at the bottom of the sweater to make the back a little longer. Plekie is meant to be worn with a good amount of positive ease at the bust, but the sleeves are fitted.

Suggested yarn
Double Soft Merino by Knitting for Olive, c. “dark ocre”.
It is classified as a DK according to ravelry but it feels more like a worsted weight. You can use any yarn that you like, as long as you achieve gauge.

Yardage
(680, 780, 880, 990, 1130, 1250, 1410, 1550) m // (748, 858, 968, 1089, 1243, 1375, 1542, 1695) yds.
IMPORTANT : If you are using a different yarn than the Knitting for Olive Double Soft Merino, please add 15% to the yardage requirement. Test knitters using the same yarn as the sample had enough yardage while some others who used a different one ran out of yarn, even if they had the right gauge.

Plekie est un chandail à épaules tombantes qui se tricote du haut vers le bas, avec un grand col roulé et de jolies tresses sur les épaules et les manches. Il y a des rangs raccourcis dans le haut du dos afin de rehausser l’empiècement arrière, ainsi que dans le bas du chandail pour allonger l’arrière. Plekie est fait pour être porté avec une bonne aisance au buste, mais les manches sont ajustées.

Fil suggéré
Double Soft Merino par Knitting for Olive, c.“dark ocre”.
Ce fil est classifié DK mais il ressemble plutôt à un calibre worsted. Vous pouvez utiliser n’importe quel fil en autant que vous avez le bon échantillon.

Métrage

IMPORTANT : Si vous utilisez un fil différent de la Knitting for Olive Double Soft Merino, ajoutez 15% au métrage indiqué plus haut. Les testeuses ayant utilisé le fil suggéré avait la bonne quantité de laine alors que celles ayant utilisé un autre en ont manqué, même si l’échantillon était adéquat.
