Plinth Sweater is a classic pullover featuring thoughtful textured details. You’ll begin with sideways knit garter hems for a rib-like effect and move onto an easy, mostly stockinette body that’s accented by a textured column at the center front and back. This worsted weight design knits up quickly in pieces with carefully drafted set-in sleeves to create a tailored feel that balances the casual silhouette. The pattern includes ten sizes ranging from 32-68” finished bust measurements, and you can choose from three fit options - straight, fitted, or A-Line - to build your perfect wardrobe staple.

Garment Construction: This sweater is worked in pieces from the bottom up and seamed. All pieces begin with horizontally knit hems, and then stitches are picked up along one edge to work the main fabric. Bottom hem is not seamed to create side vents. Neckline trim is picked up and worked in the round after seaming.

This pattern requires knowledge of increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, and seaming. Full schematic and measurement tables provided. No charts are needed to work up this pattern.

Suggested Yarn: Worsted to aran weight yarn that knits to gauge

Sizes: 32½ (36¼, 40, 43¾, 47½)(52¼, 56, 59¾, 63½, 68¼)“ / 82.5 (92, 101.5, 111, 120.5)(132.5, 142, 152, 161.5, 173.5) cm

Sizing Guidance: See last two photos for full schematic and measurement details. Sample garments are shown in size 40”, worn with 3” of positive ease at the full bust (wearer’s bust measures 37”). To achieve a similar look, choose a size with 1-5” of positive ease (garment measures up to 5” bigger than your actual full bust measurement). The sleeves are intended to be fitted, and are shown with 1¼“ of positive ease on a 12” bicep. Keep in mind the body fit option you are choosing which may impact your size choice. The fitted waist option reduces the waist circumference by about 4” total, and the A-Line option increases the hip circumference by about 6” total. Black sample features straight body fit; rust sample features A-Line fit.
