Plissé
Wandering inside a Marks and Spencer’s recently, the one in Dubai Festival City if you want to know, I came across a line of machine-knitted sweaters which was nothing more than a series of ribbing from hem to neckline. As a hand knitter, my first thought was “I can do that!” and then thought to myself, “What if I put that series of ribbing onto a pair of socks?”
So began my first attempt at designing a pair of hand knitted socks. These socks are not exactly how the sweater looked like but I hope you enjoy knitting this as much as I had fun figuring out the ribbing!
Plissé would be great in semi-solid, highly variegated and even self-striping colourways.
