This light worsted weight shawl incorporates two distinct Japanese cable stitches, with a faggotting lace. It is the traditional rectangular shawl, but easily adjustable.

The pattern as written results in a shawl that is 22 inches x 74 inches and requires approximately 1100 yards of yarn.

The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming some cable lace experience)

The sample was knit out of Malabrigo’s Rio yarn in colorway, Lila.

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging if you like your shawls edged. This is the ONLY crochet in the entire pattern, the OPTIONAL edging.
