This pattern is perfect for playing with color: use 2 solid colors, 1 solid and 1 variegated, or try a self-striping yarn! Match your mittens, or reverse the main and contrast colors for the 2nd mitten to get a contrasting pair.
Sizes: Small/medium (Medium/large) to fit hand circumferences 7 ½ (8)”
Gauge: 30 sts and 36 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in colorwork pattern, blocked
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Longwood Sport (273 yd/100 g): 1 skein each in Plum and Silver Heather
Or approximately 300 yd sport weight yarn, 150 yd ea of 2 contrasting colors
Needles:
Set US 5/3.75 mm DPNs, 2 24” circular needles, or 1 long needle for magic loop; or size to obtain gauge
Set US 4/3.5 mm DPNs, 2 24” circular needles, or 1 long needle for magic loop; or 1 size smaller than needle used for gauge
