Plume Cardi is a soft and fluffy cardigan in a delicate Plume stitch pattern. Knitted with an ample ease, it is so light and comfy and warm enough. The silhouette is feminine, perfect to be worn with skirts and dresses, but also with a casual outfit.
This fluffy softness comforts you while knitting and of course wearing it. I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing it in your own style.

Plume Cardi is worked from the top down. First, it is worked back and forth with short rows to shape yoke and shoulders. Then stitches are divided into front and back and they are worked back and forth separately to the underarm. Once the front and back are joined together, the body is worked back and forth to the hem. The hem is shaped with short rows to add a gentle slope to the back. Lastly, the sleeves are worked in the round while decreasing stitches in every few rows. All edges are finished off with an i-cord edge.

Lace weight + Lace weight : Two strands of yarn are held together throughout. The yardage given below is the total amount needed.

Please keep in mind that yardage is an estimate. If you want to add more length to the body and sleeves, you will need more yarn.

12 (13, 14) (16, 16) 17 skeins of Silk Mohair from Isager (75% kid mohair / 25% silk), approx. 212 m / 232 yards - 25g, in color 2S; Two strands of yarn held together throughout.

Sample 2 (light green version):
4 (4, 4) (5, 5) 5 skeins of Alpaca 1 from Isager (100% alpaca), 400 m / 437 yards -50g, in color E2S and 6 (7, 7) (8, 8) 8 skeins of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive (70% mohair / 30% silk), approx. 225 m / 246 yards - 25g, in color Dusty Artichoke; One strand of each yarn held together throughout.

Needles
4 mm / US 6, 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40 inches circular needles for body and sleeves.
3.5 mm / US 4, 60 cm / 24 inches circular needles (or DPN) for i-cord edge.

Gauge
24 sts and 31 rows = 10 cm / approx. 4 inches in Plume stitch pattern after blocking, on 4 mm / US 6 needles
Make sure to achieve the gauge by adjusting needle size if necessary.

The Plume Cardi is designed to be worn with a positive ease of 20-30 cm / 7.75-11.75 inches at bust circumference. The sizes are to fit a bust circumference of approx 80-90 (85-95, 95-105) (105-115, 112.5-122.5) 122.5-132.5 cm / 31.5-35.5 (33.5-37.5, 37.5-41.25) (41.25-45.25, 44.25-48.25) 48.25-52.25 inches.

Plume Cardi (プリュム カーディ) はトップダウンで編みます. はじめにショートロウでヨークと肩を形づくります. その後, 左右前身頃と後ろ身頃に分け, 別々に脇下まで編みます. 脇下で前身頃と後ろ身頃をつなぎ合わせたら, 身頃を裾まで編みます. 裾は後ろに向かって緩やかに長さを出すためにショートロウで編みます. 最後に袖を数段ごとに減目しながら輪で編みます. すべての端目はi-cordで仕上げます.
