Plume socks feature a nice, folded hem with subtle colour work and a lovely stitch pattern. Plume means feather in French. This stitch pattern reminds me of the tiny and fluffy white feathers.

The pattern is knit from the cuff down and includes two different types of heels, a classic heel flap and gusset or a peasant heel or forethought heel, which is basically an afterthought heel that you prepare in advance by knitting your stitches on waste yarn.
