Plus Hat
Plus Hat is designed with young mathematicians in mind.
Size:
One size, To fit a older child/small adult adults head of 54 - 56cm/21.25 - 22 inches circumference.
Yarn:
2 colours of 8 ply/DK/light, 50gm balls of merino wool. I often use Debbie Bliss Rialto DK. Length of yarn is usually between 103 - 105 metres/112 - 114 yards per ball. Any wool of the same guage will be fine.
Suggested Needles:
3.25mm/US 3 DPNs,
OR 3.25mm/US 3 circular needle for casting on & knitting rib.
4mm/US 6 circular needle for hat body.
4mm/US 6 DPNs for shaping the crown.
Techniques:
Knitting in the round, knit & purl stitches, decreasing, catching floats, weaving. This hat is designed to be jogless:)
