There is no specific gauge required. I used a G hook and the final candies were about 4 inches. Changing hook size and yarn will change the size of the candies. Just make sure the stitches are tight enough so the fiberfill doesn’t come out!
The candies are worked in continuous rounds. The only stitches you need to know are chain, slst, and sc. A great beginner pattern!
