Pocket Dino is crocheted in the round/continuous spirals without joining the rounds. I suggest using a stitch marker or different color yarn to keep track of each round.
Pocket Dino is crocheted in super bulky chenille yarn and is approximately 3 inches tall from top of biggest spike. Be aware that size may vary depending on the yarn and hook size used. Gauge is not particularly important, just be consistent with the tension you are using. And most importantly, have fun!
Supplies Needed to Make Simon The Snake:
-Super Bulky (6) Weight Yarn (I used Premier Parfait Chunky Chenille Yarn)
-H (5mm) crochet hook
-Two 12mm plastic safety eyes (Not recommended for children under 3 years old)
-Polyfil or stuffing of your choice
-Yarn Needle
-Scissors
-Locking stitch markers (optional)
Note: If you’d like to use worsted weight yarn, 8mm safety eyes and an E (3.5mm) crochet hook are needed. Pocket dino is about 2 inches tall in a small amount of worsted weight.
If you’d like to use a bulky (5) weight worsted, use an H hook and 12mm safety eyes. About the same size as chenille dino.
