Pocket Monkey
Go bananas with a Pocket Monkey! This little monkey is quick to make, and small enough to carry in your pocket. Each monkey only requires small amounts of yarn, so it is a super way to use up any ends of yarn skeins/balls to avoid waste.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the monkey is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the limbs and tail are i-cord tubes worked on two DPNs.
NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 6)
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, beads for eyes, and toy filling
SIZES
One size only - 13cm tall.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting bobbles, and seaming to finish.
