Whenever I visit Polish Tatra mountains I am blown away with some details of it’s folk style.
Podhale women wears the shirts with some kind of richelieu embroidery. I liked those embroidery motives increasingly.
It’s no wonder I started figuring them out in knitted item…

That’s how after many attends and swatches Podhale shawl was created.

It takes only one skein of Mal Sock and I ended with approximetely 9 metres of leftovers.

The shawl is worked in rows and in one piece, starting from top, the crescent shape is formed using japanese short rows, lateral braid with simple yos separate simple stockinette and lace edging which creates the lines of some kind of embroidery.

I would like to thank my amazing tester team and personally to: martuf, GosiaczekS, merryamethyst, malmonka and gluestick. You girls rock!
