This little Christmas Angel is inspired by New Zealand’s Christmas tree, the pohutukawa, that flowers at Christmas time here. The beads shown in the above photos are optional. While this pattern was designed using DK weight yarn, it can be made using any weight of yarn with an appropriate hook size for your yarn, although, if you are planning on using a yarn that is thicker than DK weight you may find it tricky if you wish to make the version with beads.

I used 4 seasons Flinders 100% cotton 8 ply in the following quantities:
Colour A Green (1071) 9 g (21 m, 23 yds)
Colour B Lime (2005) 4 g (9 m, 10 yds)
Colour C Claret (1064) 6 g (14 m, 15 yds)

Optional: 32 beads that can be threaded onto your chosen yarn

Finished Angel is: 13 (5”) cm tall with a wingspan of 12 cm (5 ¼“)
